In the 1960s Jo Hammerborg designed two table lamps for Fog & Mørup which are easily and often confused. The Senior and the President (pictured in that order below) have much in common, but several differences distinguish them from one another. While both lamps have stems in either brass and teak or satinised aluminium and ebonised teak, the Senior’s stem is curved while the President’s is perfectly straight. And while the President’s shade is a single-layered affair matching its stem in brass or satinised aluminium, the Senior has a double-layered shade of opaline and olive green glass on the brass stem or opaline and lilac glass on the aluminium version.
